CraftHub is a spinoff and reimagination of the Tech Budapest conferences founded by Prezi & IBM Budapest Labs (formerly Ustream). Our mission is to make knowledge available and help tech crafters continuously improve their skills. Today, this organization is a multifaceted IT event management company with a diverse portfolio of conferences/hackathons/developer competitions/workshops, both online and offline.

You’re someone who is a self-starter, motivated, and able to play as part of a team that relies on each other for success. This is a sales and marketing position. So you’ll be expected to take on responsibility for generating revenue for our events. This is a key role for the success, and we expect you not just to sell a list of packages and tickets but to find ways to create value not only for CraftHub but also for the sponsors and further develop the reputation of our events as the best in Europe.

Tasks that you will take on:


  • Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive growth strategies and tactics, including sales, B2B marketing
  • Define go-to-market models across offers and segments to access buyers, customers, and influencers
  • Define ideal buyers, select market segments, and pick audiences to engage using data-driven insights
  • Remain well-connected with customers to ensure that their needs are being factored into the product development and enhancement cycles
  • Sell sponsorship deals and tickets to local and international partners
  • Oversee and coordinate the ticket sales activities of the sales team
  • Monitor all the revenue streams and adjust as necessary
  • Strengthens the cooperation of marketing team and sales B2B activities, participates in the structure and development of B2B marketing
  • Create a pricing strategy to target markets so that the highest possible return is generated
  • Manage a variety of B2B sales/marketing programs to attract, engage, and convert leads
  • Oversee campaign strategy, design, and execution for marketing and sales to optimize buyer engagement and the effective execution of sales that maximizes demo to closed deals
  • Ensure Sales Coordinators are executing effectively to optimize retention, up-sell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Enable and maintain brand touchpoints to engage buyers across segments
  • Partner with the project management (event) team to define offerings, continuously refining value propositions and looking for differentiators
  • Work with the event team to make sure our sponsors get full value from their sponsorship, so they will sponsor us again
  • Reinforce the optimal use of sales and marketing resources
  • Manage the team of Sales Coordinators and interns
  • Set KPIs and goals for the team

Essential Experience / Qualifications:

  • Evidenced experience of success in creating and building sales and/or marketing in a high-growth scale-up environment
  • Demonstrable experience in B2B (B2C) marketing. HR-related services (e.g. recruitment) experience is an advantage, but not essential
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships
  • Must be proficient at analyzing data, building reporting, and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable revenue strategies and operational plans
  • In-depth knowledge of the tech industry, market trends, and emerging technologies, with a passion for innovation and disruption
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems
  • Native-level Hungarian skills required with working proficiency in English
  • Willingness to travel to sponsors for sales (mostly in Budapest)
  • Flexible, able to work alone and as part of a team
  • Open personality with system thinking mindset
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • Well-adapted, patient attitude, consistent leader
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (Pipedrive) and other B2B software is an advantage
