About the company:

CraftHub is a spinoff and reimagination of the Tech Budapest conferences founded by Prezi & IBM Budapest Labs (formerly Ustream). Our mission is making knowledge available and helping tech crafters to improve their skills continuously. Today, this organization is a multifaceted IT event management company with a diverse portfolio of conferences/hackathons/developer competitions/workshops, both online and offline.

Our goal is to deliver the best online & offline events that we can, and that is available in this industry!

You’re someone who is a self-starter, motivated, and able to play as part of a team that relies on each other for success. This is a freelance position with project – based payment. We are planning for the long term, so we are looking for a colleague for whom this construction can be functional for several years.

You’ll be expected to be responsible for all the tech related tasks of the events and also manage all the relevant vendors. This is a key role for the success event and we expect you to not just be precise and a good problem solver but think fast and communicate in a smooth way.

Tasks that you will take on, related responsibilities:

  • Coordination of technical needs with the event manager and the speaker manager in the weeks and months before the event (depending on the size of the event)
  • Consultation with the technical specialist belonging to the given location, if needed
  • Coordination of the audio-visual vendors, internet suppliers
  • Requesting related administration as quotes, contracts and invoices
  • To ensure that all technical assistance is available to the speakers of the conference during the event
  • To ensure that all the presentations, streaming, audio, lights are working as our team requested
  • Responsible for our event streaming application, Pine before and during the event

Essential Experience / Qualifications:

  • Highly interested in IT and audio-visual solutions
  • Native Hungarian speaker with working fluency in English
  • Occasionally willing to work not on regular basis hours. Our events often take place during evenings
  • Flexible, able to work alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Curiosity developing our technical possibilities
  • Open personality with system thinking mindset
