A CraftHub meetup is a mix of fun, learning, important conversations and networking opportunities. An opportunity to meet like-minded people, share knowledge and build relationships in a vibrant and supportive environment.
Meetup community
CraftHub meetups are primarily designed to build community. The aim is to enable visitors to our two major conferences to meet and exchange ideas not just once, but several times a year. Craft Conference in May brings together the software developer community, and the Compass Tech Summit in early October brings together the AI, UX/UI, product development, leadership, and data analytics communities – we want to bring these communities together and strengthen them through our meetups throughout the year.
Meetup topics
Our meetups have been held on a variety of topics over the years. As part of Craft, for example, our mobile software development meetups are particularly popular. In addition, Compass Tech Summit areas such as AI, UX/UI, data and product development are also frequently featured. On average, 50-100 attendees are usually present at these events, so there’s always an opportunity for deeper conversations and networking. And some meetups include a podcast recording, which is later shared with the community.
How the meetups work
Meetups organized by CraftHub are free to attend, we only require pre-registration. The location is usually Create26 in the center of Budapest, where we can provide an environment where participants feel comfortable and have everything they need for productive discussions. Events usually start with a presentation or panel discussion, followed by informal networking.
During informal networking you have the opportunity to discuss with the speakers and participants in more detail, ask for advice, or share your own experiences. Meanwhile, drinks and snacks will be provided on-site for participants.
Our latest meetups
CraftHub ran eight successful meetups in the first half of 2024. We held meetups on mobile software development, product development, management, UX, data and AI, but we also managed to organize a free event with one of our keynote speakers, Gergely Orosz, prior to Craft 2024.
